Case Study: MEMFix revitalizes communities through street transformation

This case study is part of Innovate Memphis’ 4-part series on successful innovation projects over the years. This example shows how we partnered with public, private, and nonprofit partners to reimagine neighborhood hubs such as Crosstown, Soulsville and the Highland Strip through community-led design and activation events demonstrating how revitalization is possible. MEMFix events serve as a low-risk trial that showcase a neighborhood’s potential through art installations, local business pop-ups, and activation events that draw community members back to disinvested commercial corridors, reigniting investments in Memphis’ urban core.
