This document is a summary of Key Findings & Takeaways from the full-length 2026 State of Memphis Housing report. Intended to support the Memphis Housing Summit in October 2026, where attendees will explore innovative policies, cross-sector partnerships, financing strategies, and development approaches that can help build a stronger, more resilient, and more equitable Memphis.

These reports distill our research from over 15 data sources, 38 stakeholder interviews, and local and national best practices for housing. This research was done in partnership with Innovate Memphis and the Memphis Applied Research and Community Action Institute (MARCA) at the University of Memphis.
