Please join us in congratulating Justin Entzminger on his new role as Innovation Practice Director for the Bloomberg Center for Public Innovation at Johns Hopkins University.

We are grateful to Justin for his leadership over the past six years as Executive Director of Innovate Memphis.

During his tenure, Justin led the innovation team for the City of Memphis and directed a variety of innovation projects on both a local and national level. He helped launch the City’s Office of Performance Management (OPM); served as a consultant for MEMSHOP; supported the local collaborative of Reimagining the Civic Commons, and led the charge for SoCo, a collaboration of innovative cities in the south. Under his direction, we grew Innovate Memphis’ neighborhood data capacity to become the National Neighborhood Indicators Partnership partner for the Mid-South region.

“I’m forever grateful to my Innovate Memphis team members, past and present, and the support we receive from Mayor Strickland, City Council, Doug McGowen and our many wonderful partners. I am excited to continue in this work and look forward to helping cities around the world leverage their creative powers and local insights to make positive, sustained change.”

We invite you to wish Justin well in his new endeavor and share in our appreciation for all he has done alongside our team and partners to deliver impactful change for Memphis.

City Innovation Director, Courtney McNeal, will serve as Interim Director. We are thankful to Justin and the board of directors for their support during this transition period.
