901 Ride Choice: Pilot Program Year One Report

Case Studies

The 901 Ride Choice Year One program report provides details on the first year pilot of the local mobility management program and referral service connecting people to non-emergency transportation.

The Challenge

Limited transportation access is a significant barrier to care. Many individuals are unable to seek preventative care necessary to manage their health, leading to exacerbation of health issues and need for emergency care. To directly address this gap in access to convenient non-emergency medical transportation, we have piloted a mobility management solution that better connects older adults and individuals with disabilities to transportation choices. This pilot program is referred to as 901 Ride Choice and is modeled on One-Call/One-Click (1C-1C) initiatives implemented in a number of cities across the country.  It enables customers to make one phone call to receive information about a range of transportation services available in the community.

The Program

901RideChoice is a transportation referral service that provides information about local transportation options to callers, primarily older adults and people living with a disability.

Program Review: First Year Report

In the past year developing the 901 Ride Choice mobility management pilot program, we have had over 2,500 calls and observed opportunities to refine the service. The Annual Report shares the details of our program, caller demographics and issues, referral and trip information and observations.
